How a BC presale purchase works.

The basic path from choosing a home to deposits, completion, and possession.

Before signing

Review the exact home, price, deposit schedule, estimated completion, disclosure statement, and purchase contract. Ask what could change and what is only an estimate.

A presale contract is a legal document. Consider legal, financing, tax, and real-estate advice before relying on it.

After signing

Deposits are paid according to the contract. Construction and completion estimates can change. Keep your financing and housing plans flexible enough for that possibility.

Before completion, ask your lawyer and lender about the final amount needed, closing costs, financing, insurance, inspection, and possession.
